Hair Thair Be Dragons

On a whim I got my haircut over lunch today. The young lady asked "how short do you want it?" I thought for a second and said "Well, not buzzed. Something like an insurance agent or a Republican." So now my shadow no longer has cool hair that whips in the wind. Oh well (it grows back. right?!?)

Talking to the hair cutter, I discover she's a sci-fi/fantasy person working on a screenplay for a fantasy tale about dragons. Here, in Lincoln. Go figure.

OK, Winter, I think this post is MORE boring than yours was! ;-)

Hair is such a great thing. Well, in the case of some of us who on a daily basis have less and less, perhaps not. But, if it is chopped, it does grow back. I've taken to buzzing mine fashionably short, pretty much as short as you can do it without using an unguarded clipper.

Did you get any info about the screenplay? Is it a book adaptation? Does she have anything published? As a hardcore sci-fi/fantasy fan this greatly interests me and is not in the least bit boring. ;-)

Bah, I've cut and grown my hair more times than I care to admit. I'm never satisfied with it. Yes, indeed, it does grow back.

So do you have a new buddy then?

I cut mine recently too, and I might never let it grow back, since my 3-yr-old now insists I look like Mrs. Incredible. I'm just going to buy lots of red shirts. You should post a photo of yourself as a Republican insurance agent. Although I don't know, my filter is already blocking this blog due to "nudity or sexual content," so that might put it right over the edge....

Wow, who would have pictured you as a republican insurance agent. go figure. Is it as short as my husband keeps his? If so, then you will fit right in. As for the person that cut your hair, well, there could be a story in that as well, huh? Maybe I should come and play match maker like you did with me????????

MG: for the last time I DID NOT PLAY MATCHMAKER!!! And no, there's no story since the young lady is young enough to be my daughter.

Penguin: I may have a new buddy. I might stick my head in and ask about the screenplay in the near future (and gauge the reaction).

Michael: She's unpublished and the screenplay is an original story. In fact, I gather when she finishes it, it will be a story that will need to be turned into a screenplay. She doesn't know how to format a screenplay and was thinking she might pay to have it done (I told her not to, that she could learn how to format screenplays, and that there is software that can help.)

Lisa: I had never made the connection before, but yeah, I think your kid is right: you do look like Mrs. Incredible. And anything I can do to cause filters grief and confusion is a Blessedly Good thing.

I cut a whole 12 inches off this summer... shortest it's ever been...

Hair cuts are alright now and then, I avoid them most of the time--in my lifetime I've probably taken more than 2inches off... 7 times.

But it does grow back... did you know that it's said if you get your hair cut on a full moon it grows back faster?

Feather: cool factoid about the full moon. I had no clue. Next time I'll plan the haircut in advance!
