Spelling Bee
Today was the county spelling bee (postponed from the Valentine's Day blizzard). Nate placed 5th out of thirteen, which is cool. On the practice round, 10 out of the 13 messed up, so if that round had counted, he would have been in the top three! Anyway, it was fun and now we can stop spelling for a while :-)

I LOVE the spelling bee!!! It sounds like your young geek-in-training did well. :-) Was there any spelling drama? Dramatic tricks to pre-spell the words?
I just saw The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee while I was in NYC, so this post completely took me back to the show. Specifically the song "My Unfortunate Erection." Yep. It's hilarious and incredibly well-done.
I think my favorite spelling bee word is syzygy, how many words have three Y's and a Z???
